About Us
How it all
began:
N & A Mfg. is located at 203 Inman Street in Mallard, Iowa. The company was founded in 1978 by Francis Neary and Virgil Auten. In 1992, Francis passed away leaving Virgil as the sole proprietor. There have been many changes since 1978 in the facilities, size of machines, components, ect. One thing still remains the same today: all units are built and tested on site before they go to the customer. They are built with quality components by conscious employees and sold by trained personel.
N & A Mfg. is a family owned corporation with a son (Troy) and daughter (Tammy) working in the shop, building the equipment and also servicing the equipment. Troy also has a sales territory and Tammy handles the shipping department and website. Jolene (Mom) has kept busy the last 20 years working on the office management end of things. From time to time we even have a few grandchildren that lend a hand to help.
We have distributors who sell in a territory and all of them have been with our company for many years. They include:
- Bob Gilman: Northeast Iowa and part of Wisconsin
- Bob Toliver Northwest Iowa and part of South Dakota
- Troy Auten: Central and Northwest Iowa
- Garth & Dennis VanFoson: Southeast / Southwest Iowa and part of Missouri
- Pete Bolln: Nebraska
- Gary Stroup: Southeast Minnesota
- Monte DeJong: California
All our distirbutors are skilled in the operation of the equipment and can take care of almost any issue or concern that arrises.

Many of the employees who work here at N & A Mfg. used to be with a company known as Pamline. They went out of business in 1981, but we have the parts and experience to service there sprayers.
